Happy Birthday! 2/14/23
Today, I was thinking about a GREAT woman who changed my life. Her name was Gloria. She was the grandmother to a pair of brothers who I was mentoring in 2013-2014. Today is her birthday. She would have been 90 years old. Anyway, I was thinking about something she once told me about how strong women are.
She told me, “Leonard, strong women wear their troubles in life like they wear their stilettos. No matter how much their shoes hurt, all you see is the beauty of the women wearing their shoes.”
It took me a second to understand what she was saying, but when I got it, I was like “DAMN!”
I salute all the strong women in the world!
